NAHMA Updates from Washington
Ms. Kris Cook, Executive Director of National Affordable Housing Management Association brought us NAHMA updates from Washington, DC.
Ms. Ann Roeling, LAHMA Resident Instructor. “How are You Getting Along with EIV?” Ms. Roeling offered basic overview of EIV and opened for questions to “demystify” this new part of our lives.

“How are You Getting Along with EIV?” Ms. Roeling offered basic overview of EIV and opened for questions to “demystify” this new part of our lives.
Ms. Susan Sherfield from Mercy Housing Management Group.
Ms. Susan Sherfield opened the morning segment with “I’m not crazy, I’m just NOT You.” This segment was the introduction to psychological typing and how to use to this understanding of type in the workplace. With providing an overview of these characteristics, helps us understand how to work through conflicts of different types within the workplace. First identifying our own type helped us better equip to work with others.
The second session was “Working at the Speed of Life” - So many of us feel that there are just not enough hours in a day to get everything done and the stress can be damaging to our health, work quality, and relationships. This session presented tips for prioritization and avoiding procrastination to help us focus, maximize productivity, and still have time for over selves and important people in our lives.

Laura Holmes Presented LHFA Update
Louisiana Housing Finance Agency explained the transition to Southwest Housing Compliance Corporation and how SHCC was awarded the Louisiana Contract Administration Contract July 1, 2011.
Michael Cummings mentioned if the bid is awarded to SHCC he was interested to partner with LAHMA in the education training classes.
However, the contract will remain with Louisiana Housing Finance Agency until re-bidding of the contract.
